UK Mathematics Olympiad: youngest member of Indian-origin Anya Goyal team

Anya Goyal, a 13-year-old Indian student, became the youngest member of the United Kingdom's European Girls' Mathematics Olympiad team. Anya, a student at Allen School in South London, spent her time in lockdown gaining mathematics solving skills.
Anya's father Amit Goel, who was selected for the European Girls' Olympiad after a competition between six lakh children of 13 years, became his coach, he himself has also been a former Mathematics Olympian. Anya took the UK Mathematics Trust exams and was selected for the team. About 6 lakh students from across the country try to join this team.
One thousand of these are selected for the Olympiad to be held in November. In this, the second phase of 100 students won is taken. While joining the top 4 here, Anya made a place in the team. They
learned from riddles, crosswords,
that they used to practice solving math puzzles, Kakuro and crosswords, a type of Sudoku, in childhood. When she reached secondary level in school, she was involved in Codebreaking, Cypher Challenge, Chess, etc. She believes that she has a good chance of attracting other children, especially female students, towards mathematics.
Bad math is considered normal in the UK
Mathematics is considered a difficult subject in the UK. It is considered normal to be bad in this. But according to Anya one needs to practice only and only to become strong in Mathematics. This not only makes math easy, but also increases your skills.
